Our Oil Plus 2C is a true one-coat system. Applying a second coat is unnecessary as the wood cannot bond with more oil once the initial fibers are saturated.
Is Rubio Monocoat safe for food-contact surfaces?
Yes, our Oil Plus 2C is Eurofins Gold Label certified and safe for use on kitchen countertops, butcher blocks, and dining tables once fully cured.
How long does the curing process take?
The finish is 80% cured within 48 hours and 100% cured after 5 to 7 days, depending on ventilation and humidity levels.
Can I use this on outdoor furniture?
For exterior projects, we recommend our Hybrid Wood Protector, which is specifically formulated to handle UV rays and varying weather conditions.
How do I maintain my Rubio Monocoat finish?
